Wonderful stuff, and not so much a tribute as a continuation of that remarkable band's incredible music. Since Shane McGowan's passing, the poignancy, poetry, intelligence and pure joie de vivre of those sensational songs still resonate when they’re being performed so beautifully well.
And needless to say you’re in the best environment possible for a Guinness soaked early start to your St Pat’s party! The wee back room of the Dublin Castle will be all 32 counties, and the whole global Irish global diaspora, for a few hours today. All welcome. Slainte.
